T’ai Chi is a Chinese style of martial arts used primarily in recent times for internal development. “T’ai Chians,” (a term coined by Shihan Rodriguez) utilize sets of moves that are pre-choreographed and often done in time with soft Chinese music for physical and mental exercise. Physical exercises are done slowly and rhythmically with emphasis on controlling breathing patterns for coordination and balance. Mental exercises include Zen meditation and visualization techniques incorporated into the movements and concepts.
