Shihan Everett Rodriguez

A resident of Salinas, CA, and a Master in the art of Self-Defense.

On March 30, 2004, Shihan celebrated his 50th anniversary of martial arts training & 68th birthday with a surprise party thrown by his students and with the help of three neighboring schools.

Shihan Rodriguez trained for many years under the Yudansha Kai led by Master Yotori Isapo, Samurai Martial Arts Master. Shihan Rodriguez holds Senior Black Belt ranks in the respected Arts of Karate (空手), Jujitsu (柔術), Aikido (合氣道), Shorinji-Jits, and Kobujitsu.

Shihan Rodriguez also has black belt degrees in Moo Duk Kwon Tae Kwon Do and Chinojitsu. Shihan has trained extensively in T'ai Chi and T'ai Chi-Jitsu, as well as Chin Na.

Through the inspiration of his teacher, Yotori Isapo, and a very dear friend, Professor John Chow-Hoon (10th Degree Jujitsu and Karate Master, Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame recipient),

Shihan Rodriguez founded "Ways of the Gentle Giants�,"

 

Yasashii Do Martial Arts.

This style includes techniques from all of the arts that Shihan Rodriguez has trained in during his 50 years of martial arts experience.
